girls roadtrip for free people

sometime back in march, miss amy soderlind and i drove her little vw bus down to santa barbara, to work on a shoot for the free people blog.

the concept was 'girls roadtrip', which seemed pretty natural as we were experiencing our own roadtrip adventure ourselves.

i love taking these trips with amy, a dear dear friend whom i adore. our long drives are always filled with meaningful conversations and special happy moments, all of which i will treasure forever.

taking time out to travel long roads forces you to be nothing but present with that time and place and the people you are with, what's not to love?

of course we featured amy's yellow bus in the shoot, a great little trooper she was, 50 miles an hour, slowly but surely, she braved the rain all the way home till early hours of the morning.

our lovely models hayley and bailey (surprisingly i never confused their names) were wonderful! here are a few of my favorite pics from the day, and check out the free people blog here!

beautiful rosa

one of my recent shoots with the lovely rosa from finland. we shot this at my dear friend amy soderlind's home on a gorgeous vineyard in picturesque sonoma. of course amy was the wardrobe stylist for the day and jenelle oldham came onboard and styled rosa's blonde locks. it was the the perfect team and a wonderful day, easy and relaxed just how i like it!

fill in the blanks with lola giardino

recently my dear friend sent me a link to nona bruna, the beautiful website of argentinian designer lola giardino. after taking a look around i discovered lola is also a talented potter, a sewer and a gem in the kitchen, an all round creative lady really! take a look at her blog for yummy recipes and you must watch this beautiful film for her 'lovely winter collection 2013'. but for now, meet lola.

hello, my name is... lola

and i would describe myself as... a person in love with handmade things who enjoys sharing them with people who enjoy life.

i love to play with clay... because it's very similar to cooking. it's unexpected, as life is. you can work by following the steps but the results are always surprising.

the best part... comes at the beginning, when i knead the clay and give it some form with my fingers.

i find my inspiration... in my grandmothers, especially abuelina, who is a painter, sews and cooks with a lot of love. i'm also very inquisitive and observant. i love to learn and try new things. i'm especially inspired when i travel or when i am at the ocean.

there is something special about... trusting yourself, listening to your intuition and being carried along.

wise words i've heard...

forgive and forget, listen, understand and learn, appreciate and thanks, sleep less and dream more, celebrate and have fun, exercise your body and your mind, love yourself and pamper yourself, fall in love, talk less and say more, evolve and be a little better every day, imagine and create, simplify the problems, do it today, do it now, to be radiant, smile constantly, just try it.

you will often find me... with my hands in the dough! doesn't matter if it's clay or pasta... :-) you will also find me taking pictures, working on the computer or helping people to make their ideas/business come true.

the sweetest song... flightless bird, american mouth - iron & wine

when i create... everything flows, i feel motivated.

i have learnt... that you must trust yourself and follow your dreams.

while preparing a meal... i'm the happiest person in the world! time stops between smells, flavours and textures.

my most favorite dish... 'ñoquis' with butter, my nona used to cook this when we would visit her.

an ideal gathering... at home, with home-made food and people who i love.

i would love... if everybody could live and enjoy the present while doing what they love. that people can discover their passion and are brave enough to explore it, expand it, so it becomes their work.

but today... i enjoy doing what i love. i cook, knead clay, sew and help people do what they really want to do through the breaks + workshops in www.deideasgenialesaideasreales.com.
